HAND SIGNALS.

There is an image going around for “safe breath play” where you should “pay attention to the color of their face.” And while you should do that (seriously, if your partner is turning purple, let them breathe), you should still use a hand signal. Just because they’re not in “the danger zone” color-wise doesn’t mean they might not have changed their mind (or in my case, started having a panic attack).

USE HAND SIGNALS FOR ANY SITUATION WHERE YOU CAN’T SPEAK. ALWAYS.

Yesterday my master was only in town for the night to go to a friend’s concert. He wanted to make plans with me, but I was supposed to be in school for more or less the entirety of the time he would be here (4-7). But the universe worked things out so that I was running super late, and he was running rather early, and I got to see him! He even brought me a present; it wouldn’t be a very interesting present to most, but to me it meant the world to me and showed me just how much he cares for me.
